Abstract: In most countries, Secondary schools play a great role in preparing students in their future careers. STEM subjects are perceived to be difficult and as such, there has been low interest by the secondary school students in these subjects. This calls for reconsideration of the way teaching is done in the STEM subjects in order to make STEM careers attractive and to retain students in these fields. This study developed robotic activities and integrated them in the STEM subjects and assessed the effects of the activities to the perception and interest in these subjects. The study was conducted in the secondary schools in Murang’a County in Kenya. The target population included 200 students selected through simple random sampling method. The selected students were introduced to robotics activities integrated in Physics and Mathematics topics. Questionnaires were used to collect data and were administered to the students before and after exposure to the robotic activities integrated in the subjects. The quantitative data obtained was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. From the findings of this study, the robotic activities had a significant effect on students’ perception of Physics and Mathematics. The study recommends that the government should facilitate the integration of educational robotic activities in the current STEM curriculum in order to improve interest towards the STEM fields.

Abstract: This research aims to study a logical-based learning order and its impacts on the growth of students lecturing the listening skill. Th1 method used in this study is Research and Development. Besides, the technique of data collecting was taken by examination, observation, and interview. The research was held for students in the 1st semester of the 2021/2022 academic year at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Siliwangi University Tasikmalaya. The data were processed quantitatively. The result showed that syntax of learning based on the logic model positively impacts student lecturing the listening skill. It is suggested that research should be followed up and validated by those in the same profession to stretcher the result of this research..

Abstract: Over the time. Education beyond branding of student experience, the student experience in high education beyond branding.  Education beyond branding in high university in Malaysia, the study used a sample of 100 populations, 100 for the student in Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. The total simple size was 100 populations as a part of this research and the statistical package for social science (spss) was used to carry out the analysis. Data were analyzed using the regression of the correlation to own the t-test hypotheses.  The findings of the study showed that there exist a positive relationship between the student and their experience in the university. It was recommended that students be aided to develop effective study experience, so as to be successful in the education academic.

Abstract: This study sought to establish the influence of communication in teaching children with hearing impairment in Kisumu County. The objective of the study was to establish the influence of manual communication on academic performance of learners with HI in inclusive settings in Kisumu County. The study was anchored on the Total Communication Theory by Holcomb of (1967). The study employed descriptive survey. The targeted population consisted of 20 head-teachers, 96 teachers and 124 pupils in primary schools under inclusive learning set up in Kisumu County. Ten (10) head-teachers, 66 teachers and 73 pupils were selected using simple random sampling procedure. The instruments of data collection were semi structured questionnaires and interview guide. A reliability coefficient of 0.8 was obtained using the split half method and this indicating that the instruments were reliable to be used in collecting data. The study found that the schools were in serious need of various communication modes. Most teachers were found to be poor in sign language which was leading to poor academic performance. Majority of hearing impaired learners in class five scored lower marks than their class means score. The result showed that 73.3% of the variations in academic performance of hearing impaired learners were attributed to independent variables. The study also revealed that TC was mostly used as the instructional mode. However, the results further showed that the availability of Kenyan Sign Language  made most significant contribution  in the performance of learners with HI. The study recommends that the government of Kenya should allocate more funds to primary schools with inclusive settings and fully support the institutions in terms of communication aids and facilities. The HI teachers should equally be well vast with new technologies and advancements in communication systems in their area of specialization. This will assist the school managers and teachers in charge of SL in implementing fully the use of Total Communication modes in these settings.

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to examine the predictability of personality trait and self-efficacy on academic achievement of learners, focusing on Junior High Schools (JHS) at Ho Municipality of the Volta Region of Ghana. The descriptive survey design was employed for the study. The study population was all learners in the 132 JHSs in the Municipality numbering 11,887. The sampling frame was 3,789 JHS three learners. However, the simple random sampling technique was used to select 390 JHS three learners for the study. Questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.85 was the instrument used to collect the data. The completed returned copies of the questionnaire were 378, representing 96.9 percent response rate. The data were analysed using Pearson Product Moment correlation and linear multiple regression analysis. The study revealed that both personality trait and self-efficacy have significant and positive relationship with learners’ academic achievement. The study further found out that both personality trait and self-efficacy are predictors of learners’ academic achievement, especially, extrovert and neurotic personality trait. The study recommends that parents, headteachers and teachers in basic schools should help learners to develop and maintain positive personality trait and self-efficacy for enhancement of academic work in school. Also, they should promote attractive learning climate that will help in building children’s confident level which will in turn boost their chances of developing positive traits and high level of self-efficacy.

Abstract: In the minority schools of Thrace - and especially in those where Pomak students attend - the problem of teaching the Greek language in relation to the mother tongue presents the peculiarity that Pomak students are taught in the two official languages of the Muslim minority, Turkish and Greek. .

As far as Greek language, is concerned to examine the contribution of the textbook to its learning in this environment. Of particular interest is the Greek language textbook for the 6th grade of minority schools, especially with Pomak-speaking students.

It is logical to ask the question -through the students and teachers’ answers- to what extent this school textbook, of the Greek language for the 6th grade (Greek program for minority schools) and especially in the schools attended by Pomak students, helped in the successful learning of the Greek language.

The purpose of this paper, therefore, is to find out the students and teachers’ views about the textbook of the Greek Language (SSS Classroom of Minority Schools) in the Minority schools and especially in the Pomaks of Western Thrace.

The research was conducted using questionnaires on 177 students and 125 teachers, who were selected throwgh sampling.

The results show that the students and teachers’ views seem to go hand in hand, leaning both groups towards a neutral to an overall negative view of the textbooks.

Abstract: Online education, proven very efficient in the recent years, has two main components, namely Online learning, and Online teaching, which, in order to be successful to the optimum level, require appropriate resources. The root source playing a vital role in online education is none other than Information Technology, having rapidly developed over the years with number of applications such as google class, WhatsApp, zoom, MS Teams and other information media, helping us lecturers to stay in touch with the students (Viner et al., 2020). It is obvious that Computer Hardware Configuration, Computer Operating System, Internet Browser, Software Applications, Internet connection and Internet speed take leading roles in online learning and teaching. At University, robust wired and wireless networks are available almost anywhere and computer labs have specialized software required for the students’ majors. But when the students moving off from the traditional way of learning to online learning remotely appeared challenging as the access to technologies dropped significantly, especially for the ICT classes.

To access the success of online learning based on available technological resources, this study evaluated the (i) student’s internet connection capability, (ii) the availability of learning devices and software, and (iii) the student’s interest in online learning because of various online activities provided. Data is collected using a cross-sectional research methodology, mainly the online record survey method.

Abstract: Strategic financial initiatives in schools can bring about change in students’ academic performance. The dismal performance in Kisii County has raised concern from all stakeholders in the education sector. The purpose of this study was to establish the influence of strategic financial initiatives on students’ academic performance in public secondary schools in Kisii County, Kenya. The study’s objective was to determine the influence of financial strategic initiatives on academic performance in Kisii County public secondary schools; a theory of Education Production Function that relates inputs in education to output was applied. The study employed a descriptive survey design. A population target of 353 principals and 4354 teachers was considered from 353 public secondary schools in Kisii County. Slovin’s formula with a margin error of 0.05 was used to sample 28 principals and 341 teachers as respondents. Stratified random sampling was used to get school categories: 2 schools in the national category, 24 schools at the county level, 37 county schools, and 166 secondary schools the for sub-county category. Instruments for this research include ed: the observation schedule used by the researcher, questionnaire for teachers, and interview schedule for principals. School of Education Kisii University’s supervisors ascertained the validity of the research instruments. Questionnaires were considered reliable since Cronbach’s Coefficient Alpha 0 .998 obtained was higher than the critical Cronbach alpha of 0.7 on a scale of -1 to +1. Test re-test method was done through a pilot study of 27 public secondary schools from Nyamira County with similar characteristics as the area of study. Data were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative data and interview schedules were organized based on the themes of study and research objectives. Percentages means and frequency distribution tables were used to present data for easier interpretation. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to analyze quantitative data from Likert scales. Regression analysis was used to show the influence of the financial initiatives(independent variable) on the dependent variable; academic performance. This study’s findings were: strategic financial initiatives influence academic performance greatly in Extra County and national schools than in county(average/good) and subsequently in sub-county secondary schools
