Abstract: Pediatric orthopedics is a subspecialty of medicine that deals with the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and correcting deformities and congenital anomalies in children by different methods. Aim: The study aimed to assess nurses' knowledge and practices regarding care of pediatric patients with orthopedic problems, design, implement & evaluate the effect of the intervention educational program on nurses' knowledge and practices regarding care of pediatrics patients with orthopedic problems. Design: A quasi -experimental study was utilized. Settings: the study was conducted in Orthopedic Departments at Ain-Shams University Hospital, Benha University Hospital, and Benha Educational Hospital affiliated to the Ministry of Health. Subjects: A convenient sample of nurses (number = 45) who work in the previous mentioned settings. Tools of the study: Interview questionnaire sheet was used to assess nurses' knowledge regarding orthopedic problems in pediatric and observational checklist to assess nurses' practices regarding care of pediatric patients with orthopedic problems. Results: The present study indicated that, the majority of nurses had unsatisfactory knowledge and incompetent practices pre-program intervention. While the majority of them had satisfactory knowledge and competent practices post program intervention respectively also, there was positive correlation between total level of knowledge and total level of practices, in pre/ post a program intervention and at follow up, Conclusion: It was concluded that, there were statistical significant improvements of nurses' knowledge and practices post a program intervention concerning with the effect of educational intervention program regarding care of pediatric with orthopedic problems. Recommendation: It was recommended that, continues educational program for nurses to update their knowledge and practices regarding care of pediatric patients with orthopedic problems.

Abstract: Background: Laparoscopy as a minimal tool can accurately and quickly confirm the diagnosis and reduce both delay in diagnosis and non-therapeutic laparotomy rate. Shoulder pain is a common complaint following gynecological laparoscopic surgery. A heating pad has become an established complementary modality in some invasive procedures and an effective tool for decreasing pain and anxiety. Massage influences the soft tissues of the body. It is used to relax muscles tense and to be calm. There are different massage techniques that may help to reduce pain such as effleurage massage. Design: A quasi-experimental design (non-equivalent group design) (case & control) was utilized and a convenience sample of 90 women after gynecological laparoscopic operation were enrolled. Setting: The current study was conducted at obstetrics and Gynecology departments of two settings in Menoufia governorate: University Hospital and Shebin El-Koom Teaching Hospital. Results: The study finding revealed women who use heat pads after gynecological laparoscopic operations had less shoulder pain intensity than those who don't women who use effleurage massage after gynecological laparoscopic operations had less shoulder pain intensity than those who don't. women who used Effleurage Massage revealed a higher efficacy than both Heat pad and control groups in post intervention. Conclusion: Effleurage Massage revealed a higher efficacy than both heat pads in reducing shoulder pain after laparoscopic operation. Recommendation: Nursing education curriculum should be updated to include non- pharmacological management of shoulder pain after laparoscopic operation.

Abstract: Nurses who are working in maternal and child health care setting suffer from excessive load that makes them more liable for occupational burnout because their work involves many preventive and curative health services that are provided to both women and under-five children. The study aimed to: assess the level of occupational burnout among nurses working in Maternal and Child Health centers (MCH) in El Beheira Governorate. Design: a descriptive study was utilized to meet the aim of this study. Setting: The study was conducted in 9 MCH centers within 5 directorates out of 16 directorates present in El Beheira Governorate including Damanhour, Kafer El dawar, Abo Elmatamer, Etay Elbarod and Shobarqet directorates.  These directorates have the greatest number of nurses within MCH centers. Subjects: composed of 300 nursing staff who are working at previously mentioned setting. Tools: two tools were used for data collection; Nurses’ characteristics self –administrated sheet and The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Results: around two third of the studied nurses had high level of emotional exhaustion, and the majority of them had high level of high depersonalization and personal accomplishment. Moreover, there was a statistically significant negative correlation between emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment domain and positive correlation between emotional exhaustion and depersonalization. On the other hand, there was no statistically significant correlation between personal accomplishment and depersonalization. Conclusion: based on the results of the present study it can be concluded that, although the current study subjects   had high level of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, they still had high level of personal accomplishment. Moreover, emotional exhaustion was negatively correlated with personal accomplishment and positively correlated with depersonalization. On the other hand, there was no statistically significant correlation between personal accomplishment and depersonalization.

Recommendation: frequent workshops about effective coping strategies to be used during time of stress need to be implemented for nurses to protect against occurrence of burnout.

Abstract: Postoperative pulmonary complications (PPCs) are a major cause of morbidity after thoracotomy, resulting in patient discomfort, prolonged length of hospital stay, and increased health care costs. Aim: The aim of the present study was to assess pulmonary complications after thoracotomy. Design: A descriptive research design was utilized in the study. Subject: A purposive sample of 35 adult patients of both genders required for thoracotomy was involved in this study. Setting: This study was carried out at Surgical Intensive Care Units at National Heart Institute. Tools: Two tools were used for data collection (I) A structured interview assessment questionnaire, which included (a) Patient’s socio demographic data, (b) Patient’s medical data, (II) Postoperative pulmonary complications assessment sheet for thoracotomy patients, which included (a) Assessment of hemodynamic state, (b) Assessment of chest tube, (c) Assessment of the drainage, (d) Wound assessment, (e) Pain assessment, (f) Assessment of the respiratory system, (g) Assessmet of laboratory finding. Results: The majority of the studied patients 91.4% were females, while 8.6% were males with mean and standard deviation values of age 39.6± 10.59 years old. More than three quarters of the studied patients 77.1% admitted to ICU post mitral valve replacement, while 8.6% admitted post coronary artery bypass graft. About four fifths of the studied patients suffered from pulmonary complications in the third day following thoracotomy, in which cough and dyspnea are the most occurred complications. Conclusion: Pulmonary complications are common occurred after thoracotomy in the third day following thoracotomy, in which cough and dyspnea are the most occurred complications. Recommendations: Conducting future studies that should focus on determining the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications after cardiac and thoracic surgery as well as illustrate the major risk factors for the presence of this complication. Further research studies are needed to develop a nursing intervention protocol for the patients indicated for thoracotomy.

Abstract: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) constitutes a major health and socioeconomic problem throughout the world. Traumatic brain injury is a common cause of disability worldwide. Contractures are a common complication of traumatic brain injury and may occur in up to 84% of cases. Aim of this study was to assess extremities muscle contracture of critically brain injured patients. Design: A descriptive research design was utilized in this study. Sample: A purposive sample of 30 adult patients from both genders admitted to hospital with traumatic head injury was involved in this study. Setting: data were collected from the Surgical Intensive care units at the surgical hospital affiliated to Ain Shams University Hospitals. Data collection tools: three tools were used for data collection (I) A structured interview questionnaire sheet, which included (a) Socio Demographic Assessment Sheet, (b) Clinical Data Assessment Sheet, (c) Glasgow Coma Scale Assessment Sheet. (2) Muscle Contracture Assessment Sheet, which included (a) End feel of the affected extremity Assessment Sheet, (b) Observational Checklist of upper and lower extremities  and (3) Goniometer Scale Assessment sheet. The results: the study revealed that, after 4weeks of admission, 23 % of the studied patients had muscle contracture. Conclusion: patients with traumatic brain injury are liable to have muscle contracture because of prolonged bed rest. Recommendations: Application of passive range of motion exercises and passive stretch as a routine nursing care for each patient with traumatic head injury.

Abstract: Gastrointestinal tract has many important functions for critically ill patients especially it maintains immunological functions, decreases infection and promotes better survival rate. Several studies have confirmed that GI symptoms are frequent in the ICU with up to 62% of patients exhibiting at least one GI symptom for at least 1 day. Aim of the Study: This study was conducted to assess the incidence of Gastrointestinal Problems for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Materials and Methods: A descriptive exploratory design was utilized was used in this study. Setting the study was conducted at El-fayoum university hospital. The study subjects; A Purposive sample of 60 patients from both genders, with different ages and educational levels were selected for this study. Tools of the study consist of tool of the study consist of Two tools, tool(1) Patient Assessment sheet (2) Modified Gastrointestinal symptoms  rating scale (GSRS). Results: A total 60 patients were enrolled in the study with mean age X¯ ± SD (52.40 ± 14.40) .also it was noted that 55.0% of the studied patients were male.it was found that (56.7%) of studied patients have mild gastrointestinal problems. While (1.67%) of the studied patient have severe gastrointestinal problems. Conclusion. About two thirds of studied patient were male, nonsmoker and give feed by oral method. Also neurological and respiratory problems were the majority of causes of ICU admission. Moreover, about more than half of the studied patients have mild gastrointestinal problems, while more than one third of them have moderate gastrointestinal problems (Abdominal pain, Constipation, Diarrhea, Reflux and distention).Recommendations: Replication of the study using a large probability samples acquired from different geographic areas. Incorporate abdominal massage as a routine care for critically ill patients receiving enteral feeding to relieve gastrointestinal problems.

Abstract: Breast engorgement occurs when milk first comes in breast and at other times which can create problems for both the breastfeeding mother and her baby. Aim of this study: evaluate the effect of breast massage on reduction of breast engorgement among postpartum women. Design: a quasi-experimental design was utilized in this study. Study sample: Purposive sample of 50 women with engorged breast. Setting: Suez Canal University Hospital and General Hospital at Ismailia City. Tools of data collection: I: an interview questionnaire II: Six-point engorgement scale III: visual analogue rating scale IV: Breast milk pH record V: Suckling speed record of neonate and VI: Latch Score record. Results: the entire studied sample had swelling and warmness (100.0%), and 32.0% had moderate engorgement while nearly two thirds of studied sample had severe pain (62.0%). After 5 days of intervention, the majority of the studied sample (80.0%) had normal breasts, 76.0% had no pain, 100.0% had alkaline milk PH and 100.0% had good breast feeding score. There were statistically significant differences between pre and post intervention with regard to signs and symptoms of breast engorgement, level of engorgement, intensity of pain and latch score (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Application of breast massage was effective in relieving breast engorgement. Recommendation: Planning and developing antenatal classes for newly breastfeeding mothers about prevention and management of breast engorgement.

Abstract: The nurse plays a vital role in caring patients post liver transplantation and decreases patients’ stay at critical care unit. The aim of this study: This study was conducted to assess nurses' knowledge regarding management of patients post liver transplantation. Design: A quasi- experimental design was used in this study. Setting: The study was conducted at critical care unit in Ain Shams Specialized Hospital, Cairo, Egypt. Study Subjects: A purposive sample of nurses (40) at critical care unit in Ain Shams Specialized Hospital. Tools of data collection: Nurses' knowledge assessment structured Self-Administered Questionnaire. Results: The results of this study showed that, 12.5% of the studied nurses had satisfactory level of knowledge regarding management of patients post liver transplantation. Conclusion: The study revealed that most of studied nurses had unsatisfactory total level of knowledge regarding managing of patients post liver transplantation at critical care unit. While, There were a highly significant relation between nurses' knowledge and their demographic characteristics (age). Also, there were a significant relation between nurses' knowledge and their demographic characteristics (level of education and years of experience). Recommendations: Implementing an educational training program to improve nurses' knowledge regarding management of patients post liver transplantation.

Abstract: Background: Triage is the process of prioritizing patients based on the acuity of the problem to take the best treatment in the shortest possible time. It includes brief and focused assessment and patient allocation to an acuity level, which determines the length of time a patient can safely wait for therapeutic screening examination and treatment. Aim: current study evaluates the effect of obstetric triage’s training program on nurses’ knowledge at obstetric emergency’s unit. Study design: A Quasi-experimental one group pre-test, post-test design was used for this study. Sampling: purposive sample including nurses in ER or labor unit who have a bachelor degree and at least one year of experience.  Data collection tools: includes three tools; first tool for studied nurses’ socio-demographic characteristics, second tool for assessing studied nurses’ knowledge regarding obstetric triage, and third tool for assessing nurses’ satisfaction. Results this study showed that that there is highly significant difference in nurses’ level of knowledge between pretest and posttest regarding obstetric triage and the most of the studied nurses were satisfied with the study. Conclusion the present study concluded that the studied nurses had poor level of knowledge about obstetric triage in pretest, which is conversely changed in posttest. There was highly significant statistically between pretest and posttest. Recommendation conducting more detailed educational sessions about obstetric triage will be more effective way to empower nurses’ level of knowledge.

Abstract: Due to the debilitating effects of severe labor pains, labor pain management continues to be an important subject that requires much attention. Application of VR can have a significant impact on nursing practice by providing a non-pharmacologic solution to reduce the pain and anxiety. Aim of this study to evaluate the effect of applying virtual reality in the labor unit: a comparative study Research design: A Quasi-experimental design Setting: study conducted in Hawaa Center is popular center in manshia nasar Cairo in Egypt. Sample: purposive sample (80 women (control-study) and convienent sample for 30 nurses) was selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Tool: Data was collected through tools for laboring women include: A structured interviewing questionnaire, Behavioral rating scale, Visual analogue scale sheet. For nurses one tool was used that include Socio-demographic data, nurse's knowledge Questionnaire, nurse's satisfaction Questionnaire. Result: During -intervention program revealed a highly significant improvement (p<0.000) among the study group than the control group. Additionally, the present study clarifies a highly significant improvement after intervention in the total knowledge score of studied nurses. Conclusion: Application of virtual reality at labor unit have a positive effect on decrease labor pain among laboring women. As well as increase nurses' knowledge and satisfaction after implementing the educational session and distributing the learning package. Recommendations: Shed light on the virtual reality is recommended as an alternative non- pharmacological therapy, raising awareness of maternity nurses regarding the effect of virtual reality application to decrease labor pain among laboring women.

Abstract: Background: Problem Based Learning (PBL) is an innovative educational approach that adopted in several nursing schools around the world. It prepares nurses to solve problems and make effective clinical decisions in a systematic manner. Concept mapping is one of the contemporary educational strategies that enhance the PBL when incorporated into it. Aim of the study: To assess the relationship between students’ performance in PBL and their attitude toward using concept mapping at the Faculty of Nursing. Research design: A correlational descriptive design was used in this study. Setting: The study was conducted at the Faculty of Nursing in Suez Canal University. Subjects: Ninety-two first-year students were included in the study. Tools of data collection: Data were collected using two tools; students’ performance in PBL tutorial sessions and students’ attitude of using concept mapping in PBL. Results: The total score of students’ performance in PBL sessions was high, and their total score in attitude toward using concept mapping in PBL sessions was moderate. Conclusion: Nursing students have a good level of performance in PBL sessions and a moderately favorable attitude toward using concept mapping in PBL sessions. Totally, there is a significant moderate positive correlation between the students’ performance in PBL sessions and their attitude toward using concept mapping. Recommendations: Providing nursing students with a training program on using concept mapping in PBL sessions could contribute to more improvement in PBL students’ performance.

Abstract: In Western countries, a cancer diagnosis is nearly always discussed directly and immediately with the patient, whereas in Eastern countries, a patient may or may not be told of their disease and prognosis. The aim of this study was to compare the current protocols in place for disclosing a cancer diagnosis (CDD) across a number of countries in different regions of the world to better understand the causes for different practices. A narrative review of the literature was conducted with thirty articles reviewed and discussed. The findings from the review show that cancer diagnosis disclosure is a constantly evolving science. Truth-telling is a complex concept that involves a patient’s diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, side-effects, risks and benefits, quality of life and financial impact. This foundational perspective difference is what must be understood in order to make progress towards patient autonomy in cultures with strong family-centered values.

Moreover, the study reveals that changing cultural stigmas about cancer through media education for the public as well as communication skills training for healthcare providers may help to bridge the gap.

Abstract: Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) with highly prevalence, disability, and mortality was a common health problem worldwide. And the COPD patients experienced seriously symptom and disease burden, as well as poor health-related quality of life (HQOL). The aims of this study were to describe the prevalence of symptoms, symptom burden and HQOL, and examine the relationship between the symptom burden and HQOL.

Methods: 197 hospitalized patients with COPD (mean (SD) age 68.12 (10.41) years) were recruited between December 2016 and November 2017. The symptom was assessed using the Memorial Symptom Assessment Scale (MSAS), including four subscales: the psychological (MSAS-PSYCH) subscale, the physiological (MSAS-PHYS), the global distress index (MSAS-GDI), and the MSAS total score (TMSAS). The HQOL was evaluated by Chinese version of the Clinical COPD Questionnaire (CCQ).

Results: The patients reported multiple symptoms with a median number of 7.00. The commonly reported symptoms were dry mouth, cough, shortness of breath, and lack of energy, and the psychological symptom included difficulty sleeping, worrying, feeling sad, feeling irritable, difficulty concentrating, and feeling nervous. The medians for the MSAS- PSYCH, MSAS-PHYS, MSAS-GDI, and TMSAS were 0.44, 0.47, 0.60, and 0.41, respectively. And the CCQ had moderate score. There were association between impaired quality of life and symptom burden (number of MSAS symptoms, MSAS-PHYS, MSAS-PSYCH, MSAS-GDI, the TMAS) (P < 0.001).

Conclusions: The overall moderate symptom burden and poor HQOL suggests that detailed multidimensional symptom assessments are warranted in the care of COPD inpatients, with the purpose of focusing on severe and distressing symptoms in order to improve symptom management and reduce symptom burden progression.

Abstract: Thalassemia is estimated to affect one thousand children out of every 1.5 million live births in Egypt. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of nursing care protocol on nurses' knowledge and practice provided to children with thalassemia.  Design: A quasi-experimental (pre, post, and follow-up test) was used.  Setting: This study was conducted in Pediatric Department at El Menoufia University Hospital, Egypt. Sample: A purposive 35 pediatric nurses providing care to children with thalassemia. Instruments: A structured interview questionnaire to assess nurses’ knowledge about thalassemia and an observational checklist to assess nurses’ practice provided to children with thalassemia. Results: A highly statistically significant difference was found between pre and post-tests and between post and follow-up tests. It noted that none of the studied nurses had competent nursing practice on the pre-test. Meanwhile, all of them (100%) had competent nursing practice on post-test. Also, a highly statistically significant positive correlation between total knowledge and total practice score. Conclusion: Nurses who received nursing care protocol had a higher level of knowledge and practice on post and follow-up tests compared to the pre-test. Recommendations: Continuous training program for developing nurses' knowledge and practices regarding nursing care protocol of thalassemia.

Abstract: The study focused on Utilisation of the female condoms by women in Chainda catchment area of Lusaka district, Zambia. This study attempted to answer the research question ‘What are the factors associated with utilisation of the female condom by women in Chainda catchment area?’ A cross-sectional analytical study design was used to determine utilisation of female condoms among women aged between 15 and 49 years of Chainda catchment area in Lusaka District and Quantitative data was collected using a structured questionnaire which comprised of close ended questions. The major findings were that: (a). 44% of the women agreed that female condoms were easy to use. (b).  48% of the women agreed that they would use the female condom when having sex with any partner (c). 45.1% of the women agreed that they would use the female condom even if the male sexual partners disclosed that they had HIV/STIs while (d). 63% of the women strongly agreed that they would use a female condom when having sexual intercourse with men having multiple sexual partners. The conclusions came out of the findings as stated below: (i)The women were of the view that female condoms were easy to use.(ii) The women would use the female condom when having sex with any partner.(iii) The women agreed that they would use the female condom even if the male sexual partners disclosed that they had HIV/STIs.(iv)The women would use a female condom when having sexual intercourse with men having multiple sexual partners. The conclusions gave rise to the recommendations as stated below: (a). More female condoms should be distributed to women in this study area because they are easy to use.(b) There is need to keep encouraging women to use female condom when having sex with any partner.(c) There is need to continue encouraging women to use the female condom even if the male sexual partners disclosed that they had HIV/STIs (d) There is need to keep encouraging women to use  female condoms when having sexual intercourse with men having multiple sexual partners.

Abstract: The study focused on, Parents’ Willingness to Vaccinate Children against Covid-19: A case of Isoka Boys’ Secondary School in Isoka, Zambia. This study attempted to answer the following research questions(a) What could be the results of the distribution of consent forms to parents so that their children could receive the vaccines?(b) What could be the percentage of consent given by the parents?(c) What could be the percentage of consent not given by the parents? The instrument used were questionnaires that were prepared in such a way that parents tick indicates whether they give consent for their children to receive the vaccine or whether they do not give consent. The major findings were that: (a)The response rate of the questionnaires distributed was 8%. (b)The percentage of the consent given by parents was 35%. (c) The percentage of consent not given by the parents was 65%. In this study conclusion came out of the findings as stated below. (a) The response rate of the questionnaires distributed was very low (b). The percentage of the consent given by parents was low (c.) The percentage of consent not given by parents was high. The conclusions that came out of the findings gave rise to the recommendations as given below. ( I).The low response rate of questionnaires distributed mean that parents were not interested in having their children vaccinated against covid-19 vaccines.( ii).The percentage of the consent given by parents was low meaning most of the parents were not interested in their children receiving covid-19 vaccines.( iii).The percentage of consent not given by parents was very high.

Abstract: No documented information exists on the utilization and compliance of expectant mothers to the utilisation of insecticide-treated bed-nets and management of malaria within the studied area. This investigation was designed to ascertain knowledge, attitude and perception and commonness of malaria parasites among expectant mothers attending ante-natal clinic (ANC) in Ahoada Zonal Hospital. In total, 120 expectant mothers were selected randomly during the ANC clinic in Ahoada. Structured questionnaires were administered in the investigation design. Data on occupation, parity, symptoms used to recognize malaria, treatment bases, knowledge factors, control measures, anti-vector measures, health-seeking practices, and malaria parasitaemia were recorded. The result showed that 88.33% of the expectant mothers knew insecticide-treated bed-nets (ITNs), 61.32% possess ITNs while only 18.46% utilized the ITNs while 81.54% do not utilise ITNs, reasons were ineffectiveness, itching, dislike, excessive heat and no reason at all. The result further showed that 75.00% of those that utilise ITNs test negative for malaria parasites. In conclusion, ITNs were effective for controlling malaria parasites while attitude towards utilisation of the ITNs within the investigation area was very poor. Hence, it was suggested that sensitization is needed to educate the populace, especially those living within the investigation area and its environs.

Abstract: Nursing practice necessitates the application of knowledge, skills, and values in various combinations, all of which have undergone significant changes in recent decades. There is a greater emphasis on interprofessional collaboration, as well as possible new and more independent roles for nurses, especially in the emergency units. Therefore, the study aimed to assess the clinical competence of emergency nurses based on a self-assessment tool.  Methods: a descriptive study design was applied to 87 nurses enrolled in the emergency units at King Khaled and King Salman Specialist Hospital. A demographic data sheet and clinical competency questionnaire were used for collecting data. A descriptive statistic: frequency and percentage were carried out. Results reveal that the majority of emergency nurses have a high level of clinical competency scores.

Abstract: Background: Health is the major reference regarding quality of life ;when it comes to breast cancer in particular, the loss of abreast traumatically affects a women’s life, reflecting on her quality of life.  Aim of this study is to identify factors associated with quality of life among women undergoing hormonal therapy post mastectomy at outpatient’s clinics in El-Beheira oncology center. Research design: a descriptive cross sectional research design. Settings: This study was carried out in hormonal therapy outpatient clinics in oncology center in EL-Beheira governorate. Subjects: this study was carried on a convenient sample of 200 women. Data collection tools: data were collected using two tools: women structured interview schedule and Quality of Life Assessment  scale Sheet (WHOQOL-100).Results: the age of the studied women ranged from less than 30years to equal or less than 45 years with a Mean ± SD(36.64 ± 5.33) years. More than half of the studied women (57.5%) had fair quality of life while more than two fifths (42%) of them had poor quality of life. According to linear regression model for predictors of quality of life among women undergoing hormonal therapy post mastectomy : women's education, monthly income, using of family planning methods, stage (III) of breast cancer  and the presence of sores in the breast skin  are the most independent risk factors associated with poor quality of life . On the other hand, the most independent protective factors associated with good QoL are women's age(OR=0.837, P=0.015) in which old age are (80%) protective for good QoL than young age , occupation (OR=0.201, P=0.017) in which worker women  are (20%) protective factors associated with good QoL than non-worker, number of children (OR=0.709, P=0.011) in which women who  have higher number of children are (70.0%) protective for good QoL than women have lower number of children . Conclusion: the study concluded that, women's education, monthly income, using of family planning methods, stage (III) of breast cancer and the presence of sores in the breast skin are the most independent risk factors associated with poor quality of life. Therefore, results are useful to establish strategy to improve quality of life of post mastectomies women. Recommendations: this study recommends Providing financial support for underprivileged, post mastectomies survivors and patients with low socioeconomic status in order to help them in continuing treatment according to protocol and an experimental study should be carried out to find out the effectiveness of a liaison psychiatric nursing program in reducing the stress levels, improving quality of life and enhancing coping strategies among the patients with cancer especially those undergoing mastectomy.
