Abstract: Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) has received growing attention in literature as a strategic approach to improve supply chain performance in complex, uncertain, and competitive manufacturing environments. Although there is a growing number of empirical studies on SRM, the existing evidence on the impact of specific SRM practices on various supply chain performance dimensions is still fragmented. This study provides a comprehensive literature review to synthesise the current state of knowledge on the SRM and supply chain performance relationship in the manufacturing industry. Following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, a comprehensive literature search of prominent academic databases was conducted to identify peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2000 and 2025. After rigorous screening and eligibility criteria evaluation, 43 studies were selected for qualitative synthesis. The findings of this literature review show that SRM is a complex, multi-dimensional construct that includes trust, collaboration, information sharing, performance monitoring, and strategic alignment, which have all been found to have highly positive impacts on supply chain performance. The evidence clearly shows that improvements in operational efficiency, responsiveness and flexibility, product quality, and financial performance can be achieved through effective SRM practices. It was also demonstrated that the extent of these effects is contingent upon various context variables such as sectoral complexity, organisational capabilities, digital maturity, and environmental turbulence. Moreover, the research findings have pointed to some trends related to the integration of digital technology and sustainability aspects within SRM models, though research on these issues is still in its infancy. In conclusion, the present article contributed to theory by synthesising disparate knowledge into an integrative framework of SRM constructs and outcomes and practice by providing evidence-based advice for managers who wish to exploit their relationship with suppliers as a means of gaining competitive advantage within the context of manufacturing.

Abstract: The evaluation of Igbo Apprenticeship Model and the Registered Apprenticeship Mode is the subject of the study. The ancient traditional method upon which the Igbo Apprenticeship Model is based is having a negative impact on its capacity to recruit young people into the system; in order to remedy this issue, the system needs to be updated. The objective is to analysis the relationship between component and mode of execution of Igbo Apprenticeship Model and Registered Apprenticeship Mode. The research questions and hypotheses were developed in accordance with the objectives. The study's population is 3501 masters in three markets each in Abia and Imo State. The sample size was chosen using the Taro Yamane formula, and the samples from the population were chosen using the criterion purposive sampling method and simple random sampling. The study used a survey research design. The type of relationship between variables was determined using the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC). According to the findings, there is a strong correlation between the Igbo Apprenticeship Model and the Registered Apprenticeship Model in terms of how the components are implemented. The study advises adopting a hybrid approach in upgrading the Igbo Apprenticeship Model.

Abstract: This paper looked at the connection between social media use and academic performance among the students in the selected tertiary institutions in Imo State, Nigeria. In particular, it explored the impact of time spent using social media on study behaviors, how tolerance towards social media can affect assignment and tasks completion, and how compulsive social media use affects academic engagement. The research design was descriptive survey and 394 students were purposely chosen in universities, poly-techniques and colleges of education. Structured questionnaires were used to collect data, which were analyzed with the help of mean scores, standard deviations, and correlation coefficient of Pearson in order to evaluate the hypothesized relationships. The results showed that there is a strong positive correlation between time on social media and study behaviors (r =.995, p <.01) meaning that more time spent on social media is associated with impaired studying behavior. On the same note, social media tolerance was found to have a strong positive correlation with assignment and task completion (r =.992, p <.01), which indicates that, high tolerance can have a negative influence on timely and quality submission of academic assignments. Moreover, academic engagement was largely linked to compulsive social media use (r = .995, p < .01), and it indicates that uncontrollable and excessive internet use lowers the active involvement and attention to the learning process. The research finds that the use of social media especially in excessive or compulsive usage impacts negatively on academic behaviors and activity among tertiary students. It proposes the usage of structured digital literacy interventions, time management interventions, and awareness interventions to alleviate these adverse academic outcomes.

Abstract: Aircrew fatigue is a critical concern in global aviation, with profound implications for flight safety, operational efficiency, and crew well-being. This study investigated the prevalence of fatigue among aircrew in Nigeria’s commercial aviation sector and examine how this fatigue affects various aspects of flight operations, with a focus on implications for flight safety and performance. The study adopted a descriptive cross-sectional research design and was carried out in the Murtala Muhammed international airport (MMIA) Lagos. The population of the study consisted of pilots, flight engineers and cabin crew with the relevant professional licenses that work with local commercial airlines and are actively involved in flying duties in both the long and short haul categories. The sample size of this study comprised 190 participants and validated semi structured, self-rating and self-administered questionnaire developed by Airbus in collaboration with a French university was adapted for qualitative data collection. The analysis of data was done using the Epi info statistical software package version 3.5.1(2008). Findings showed a significant physical fatigue symptoms among aircrew, with slowed reaction time being the most prevalent. Also, findings revealed notable mental fatigue symptoms among aircrew, with a significant proportion reporting declines in attention, distractibility, sluggish movements, and minor errors. The study concluded that fatigue both physical and mental is a widespread and critical issue among aircrew, affecting operational performance and safety. Physical symptoms such as slowed reaction time, lethargy, and impaired mood were highly prevalent, alongside signs of reduced alertness and physical strain. Hence, the study recommended amongst others that airlines should adopt Fatigue Risk Management Systems (FRMS) frameworks that monitor both physical and mental fatigue indicators, enabling proactive interventions such as rest breaks, schedule adjustments, and crew rotation.
