Abstract: This study examines lexical and morpho-syntactic errors in the reading comprehension of Grade 6 learners under Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), drawing on Error Analysis theory to illuminate the underlying causes of poor performance. The data form part of a larger doctoral study grounded in Schema Theory and Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), which investigates how schema-building tasks can enhance comprehension. Using responses from a pre-test comprehension activity, learner errors were classified as either interlingual or intralingual and qualitatively analyzed for severity and potential impact on performance. Findings reveal a prevalence of intralingual errors, particularly in incorrect word collocations (e.g., diseases of lifestyle instead of lifestyle diseases) and morpho-syntactic misapplications (e.g., Sayed instead of Said), both of which led to significant penalization in marking. These patterns suggest limited exposure to accurate language input and insufficient activation of relevant schemata before engagement with the text. The study argues that integrating schema-building, task-based reading comprehension activities—particularly in pre-reading stages—can mitigate such errors, thus improving comprehension outcomes. Implications for classroom practice and teacher training under the CBC are discussed.

Abstract: Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum L.), is a significant leafy vegetable and a necessary spice. It is an old medicinal herb that comes from Northern Africa and India. Fenugreek has several uses in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, including as promoting labour, facilitating digestion, and serving a general tonic that can help boost your metabolism and support your overall well-being. Preliminary research on humans and animals suggests that oral fenugreek seed powder may have Antihyperlipidemic and hypoglycemic benefits. According to a study, fenugreek crops were Infested by a high number of insects pest and Diseases. Five insect pests and Five Diseases of fenugreek were studied in this article. They are listed below Major Pests that cause the greatest yield loss in Fenugreek are Aphids (Aphis craccivora), Serpentine leaf miner (Liriomyza trifolii), Mites (Tetranychus cucurbitae), Thrips (Scirtothrips dorsalis), Spotted pod borer (Maruca testulalis). while diseases include Cercospora leaf spot (Cercospora traversiana) and Collar rot (Rhizoctonia solani), Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum), Spring black stem and leaf spot (Phoma pinodella) and powdery mildew (Erysipe polygoni and Laevillea taurica).

Abstract: This study explores how digital intelligence fosters the integration of agriculture and tourism industries in the less-developed areas of China, particularly in the former Central Soviet Area, spanning Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong provinces. The analysis, based on data collected from 2012 to 2021, reveals that digital technologies like AI and 5G can significantly enhance the coordination between agriculture and tourism. The integration of these industries is examined through the impact of digital intelligence on industrial structures, consumer demand, and reducing barriers to entry for public services. Findings show that while digital intelligence has a positive effect across all regions, its impact is most profound in Jiangxi Province, where it has driven notable advances in agricultural modernization and rural tourism. The study emphasizes the role of government policies in supporting digital transformation and suggests strategies to maximize the benefits of digital intelligence for local development. The results offer valuable insights for other underdeveloped regions seeking to implement similar strategies.
