Abstract: This study focuses on social media marketing and customer brand awareness among hospitality industry in south-south, Nigeria. The study used cross sectional survey research and the population of the study is infinite hence a sample of 250 respondents was determined using Cochran formula for sample size determination. A total of 211 respondents returned valid and usable questionnaire. The instrument for primary data collection is the questionnaire which was designed using Likert-scale questions. The primary information collected were analysed using multiple linear regression analysis and the hypotheses formulated were validated at 5% level of significance. The analysis was done with the aid of statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) version 25. The findings of the study show social media customer engagement (SMCE) significantly positively influence customer brand awareness by (ß = 0.183, P<0.004) among hospitality industry; social media customer relationship management (SMCRM) significantly influence the customer brand awareness by (ß = 0.134, P<0.026) among hospitality industry; word of mouth communications (WoMC) significantly influence the customer brand awareness by (ß = 0.069, P<0.019) among hospitality industry; social media customer trust (SMCT) significantly influences customer brand awareness by (ß= 0.232, P<0.000) among hospitality industry; and that online brand community (OBC) has significantly influence the customer brand awareness by (ß = 0.071, P<0.021). Based on the above, it was recommended that hospitality businesses manage customer relationships on social media, enhance customer trust, build and maintain online brand communities, and utilise the word-of-mouth communications in building and maintaining brand awareness.

Abstract: This research study investigated the integration of cybersecurity measures into Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) strategies within financial institutions. The study aimed to assess the current state of AML/CTF strategies, evaluate the integration of cybersecurity measures, and investigate the impact of integrated cybersecurity and compliance measures on AML/CTF effectiveness. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing surveys and statistical analyses to collect and analyze data from 400 participants in financial institutions. The findings revealed a significant positive correlation between the effectiveness of AML/CTF strategies and compliance with AML/CTF regulations. Additionally, the study found that a positive perception of the importance of cybersecurity was associated with a higher level of integration in AML/CTF operations. However, while compliance and cybersecurity integration had a positive impact on AML/CTF effectiveness, perception did not show a significant impact. The study concluded by discussing the implications of these findings and suggesting future research directions to enhance the integration of cybersecurity measures into AML/CTF strategies. These findings contribute to the understanding of the complex interplay between cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and anti-financial crime strategies within financial institutions, providing valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners in the field.

Abstract: China is facing environmental issues which might urge the sustainability development of China. Due to globalisation, rapid growth of urbanisation and industrialization have brought environmental issues such as disaster, air pollution, water pollution and others. This has brought tremendous impact on the environment, people's health and wealth. In this research, air pollution will be the main problem of the study and discussing how the government, corporations and society make joint effort towards electric vehicles. The transformation from gasoline vehicles towards electric cars will be the main focus on solving the air pollution of this research. The Chinese government has implemented lots of policies, subsidies and regulations on promoting electric cars. Besides, the government provides subsidies and tax breaks for both car manufacturers and the public to increase the production and adoption of electric cars. Furthermore, the government also invests heavily on the infrastructure of the charging station to develop the sustainability of the electric car industry. Chinese companies also respond to the government policies to promote local electric vehicles. The government policy has created lots of car manufacturers such as BYD, Nio and Xpeng which produce high quality and affordable electric cars to the public. Furthermore, Chinese companies also invested in batteries of EVs which are the main components of EVs. The two largest battery manufacturers are also from China which are BYD and CATL that become the largest supplier of the battery in the world. For CATL, it also has the most advanced technology on recycling batteries, which provides sustainability of the EVs market and reusing batteries that minimise the impact of the environment. Moreover, Chinese society is interested in replacing their gasoline vehicles with electric vehicles thanks to the policy of the government. As the society benefits on tax breaks and subsidies when purchasing electric vehicles. Besides, the society has become more aware of the environmental issues in which the public purchase electric cars to decrease their carbon emission from the traditional gasoline car. The joint effort among government, corporation and society has brought significant results on the adoption of electric cars. In manufacturing, China is now the largest supplier of electric vehicles and batteries in the world. Besides, China has also become the world largest market share of electric cars which accounted for about half of the global electric cars sales. This has significantly reduced the carbon emission of the country, providing a sustainable development of the country and improvement of the public health and environment. However, there are still some issues on the impact of electric cars such as the performance of EVs in extreme weather, used batteries from EVs and coal for electricity. Furthermore, there are some recommendations on promoting EVs such as solving the limited changing station and auction system and lottery system for EVs. To conclude, with the joint efforts of the Chinese government, corporation and the society, there is a significant result on the adoption of electric cars. Electric cars not only reduce the environmental issues of the country, but also benefit the public’s health, employment and the growth of the economy. Therefore, the success of China can be a representative of promoting electric cars in order to build a sustainable economy and environment.

Abstract: For the purpose of making the firms accountable and responsible towards its stakeholders, Companies Act 2013 has introduced mandatory contribution of 2% of average net profit towards Corporate Social Responsibility. In present study, the relationship between CSR spending and Share prices has been studied for five fertilizers companies in fertilizer sector. The study can help us to know that whether this compulsory move by the government is burden on the companies or not. Share prices have been taken as they reflect the wealth of the shareholders and also an impression of investor’s confidence. The study based on three variables CSR Spending, Net profit and Share prices. The result of the study, there is a insignificant relationship between CSR and Share price where as there is positive relationship between CSR and Share price in selected companies.

Abstract: The objective of this paper, titled "Micro-moments consumer engagement: an integral review," is to take a look at the propelling relevance of micro-moments in the disciplines of consumer behaviour and the marketing process. In the contemporary world, where customers have enormous expectations for brands and are exceedingly demanding, marketers must adapt to the environment and rely on anything that will ensure their brand's sustainability in a highly competitive market. "Micro-moments," as the phrase implies, are brief periods during which customers make choices and establish preferences. As such, there are broadly four types of micro-moments, namely (a) I-want-to-know (b) I-want-to-do (c) I-want-to-go (d) I-want-to-buy. The subject matter has grown more relevant because of certain peculiar consumer behaviour that has been observed recently, coupled with technological changes. In contrast to earlier times, today's customers possess a vast array of easily accessible products on the internet, that they can access through any electronic device—ideally a smartphone. Furthermore, they are regarded as "attention deficient," which presents an opportunity for marketers. The ability to capitalize on micro-moments might seem "lucrative" at first glance, but they serve as an enormous challenge to marketers given that they are extremely rare opportunities. All of the problems descend from this: how can we, as marketers, capture consumers' attention in a brief amount of time—a micro-moment—and retain it there? What matters in this case is how a marketer delivers their products in a setting where the consumer is somewhat prone to being oblivious to the bias or brand consciousness that exists. Abstract: Business continuity management (BCM) will always be relevant so long as threats and crises are capable of influencing the objectives and posterity of firms. Continuity in firms’ affairs is not actualized by desires, but deliberate expressions given to strategic navigations as outlined in the guide and policy of BCM, hence the necessity for its active relevance in firms' operations. Irrespective of this potency to firms’ viability especially as regards its sustainable posterity, there is a paucity of effective practice and awareness of BCM engagement in most firms, hence the need for study, which sought to define a strategic insight into the description of BCM and its dynamics in the affairs of firms. In actualizing this objective, the study utilized a qualitative approach (descriptive review) in discussing the following; the evolution of BCM, drivers of BCM, creating an effective BCM process, BCM as a strategic tool, and the management by interest theory perspective to BCM. The study further made the following recommendations; first, BCM must be strategically positioned to influence every facet of a firm’s engagement with its environment. Also, BCM is most effective when the managerial cadre is actively involved and highly competent in the administration of BCM affairs. Finally, the BCM protocol should advance an optimized communication mode that ensures effective comprehension for stakeholders (especially organizational members).

Abstract: The employment of social media platforms from an economic perspective in Zanzibar became more visible after the initiative of the blue economy policy in the islands. This study employs the Uses and Gratification Theory to examine the role of social media networks in fostering the development of Zanzibar's blue economy. This study employed semi-structured interviews with 20 media professionals and economic experts in Zanzibar, subsequently conducting thematic analysis. The study findings highlight social media's potential in facilitating market access, supporting entrepreneurship, promoting sustainability, fostering community engagement, driving policy advocacy, and enhancing tourism marketing within the blue economy sector. However, challenges such as the digital divide, limited digital literacy, data privacy concerns, and infrastructural constraints impede effective social media utilization. Further, the study recommendations include investing in digital infrastructure, capacity building, data protection policies, public-private partnerships, and an adaptive policy framework to address these challenges and empower stakeholders to leverage social media for inclusive blue economic growth and environmental stewardship in Zanzibar.

Abstract: Social entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for sustainable growth and solving societal issues. This study examined the profound influence of social entrepreneurship on the advancement of Sustainable development. The paper reviewed social entrepreneurs’ significant impact on sustainable development. Searches included Scopus, PubMed, and Google Scholar. A Scopus Indexed Journal search found 10,147 peer-reviewed studies. Analysis was divided into two sections focused on the systematic review papers and key findings. The study used 2013-2022 Scopus Indexed Journal bibliometric and statistical data. Results show that social entrepreneurs promote sustainable development by solving social issues, creating novel service delivery models, and boosting the economy. Abstract: This study sought to analyse opportunities for growth of metal fabrication microenterprises (MEs) accruing from government policy. Reports by The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics indicate that despite the metal fabrication sector making 12% of the small manufacturers in Kenya and contributing 10% to GDP the sector face growth challenges leading to over 70% failure within the first three years. The specific objectives of the study were, to examine the effect of opportunities accruing from Government Policy on the growth of metal fabrication MEs, and to investigate the relationship between owner level of education and the optimization of opportunities accruing from Government Policy on the growth of metal fabrication MEs. This study is anchored in Senge’s theory of learning organization which states that organizations can recognize and take advantage of opportunities in their business environment for competitiveness and growth. Guided by positivistic approach together with a longitudinal survey, a mixed design involving quantitative and qualitative designs was used to obtain information from 255 Metal fabrication MEs in Kisii County. A self-administered questionnaire and interview were used to collect data from 115 respondents who were the metal fabrication MEs owners/ managers and chairman of the Jua Kali Sacco respectively. Data was analyzed using SPSS and descriptive and inferential statistics. Moderated regression analysis was used to establish the moderating effect of owner level of education on the relationship between optimization of opportunities accruing from government policy and the growth of the MEs. The findings showed that that the coefficient for Opportunities in Government Policy is 0.579 indicating that a unit increase in the Opportunities in Government Policy results to 57.9% growth of Jua Kali metal fabrication microenterprises. The study findings also showed that owner level of education significantly moderates the relationship between opportunities in Governmental Policy and growth of Jua Kali metal fabrication microenterprises as shown by the change of the beta from 39.4% to 40.0%.

Abstract: The business environment continues to be one that is quite dynamic with the continued entry of several players into their industry of choice. Abstract: This study measured the impact of perceived benefits and risks on the intention to shop online among Turkish consumers.  In addition, it also investigated the differences of males and females’ opinion about the benefits and risks illustrated with online shopping, as well as which age group has more perceived benefits and risks of online shopping. This study followed quantitative research design whereas online survey conducted to collect the data from Turkish consumers. The online survey was adopted to measure online shopping intention, perceived benefits and risks. To analyze data, SPSS 27.0 used and implied crosstabulation, linear regression analysis, independent sample t-test, and one way ANOVA for comparison and prediction analysis. Findings revealed that Turkish consumers preferred to shop electronic accessories (mobile, tablets, ...), food items, and furniture or décor items in online shopping. Female consumers shopped almost 4 times in last three month, they preferred to use debit card, and spend almost 8000 Turkish liras as compared to male consumers who preferred to use credit card and spend almost 2000 Turkish lira. In terms of the duration to shop online, both genders had been shopping online for more than 3 years. Further, perceived benefits positively predicted online shopping intention among Turkish consumers, on the contrary, perceived risks did not show negative influence on the online shopping intention among Turkish consumers. Male and female Turkish consumers did not have any statistically difference for the perceived benefits and risks illustrated with online shopping. There was not statistically significant difference been observed among younger and older Turkish consumers.

Unfortunately, the pattern of Nigeria’s spending of its debt has over the years shown that the country borrows to service debt, meet current consumption and fund recurrent expenditure thereby not achieving the desired investment. Consequently, the objective of this paper is to analyze the asymmetric effect of public debt on public investment in Nigeria using time series data from 1981 to 2021. The data were estimated using the Non-linear Auto-Regressive Distributed Lag (NARDL) technique of analysis. The findings revealed that long run asymmetric effects of external debt and debt service on public investment were statistically insignificant, while the long run asymmetric effect of domestic debt on public investment was statistically significant. The result further revealed that the short run asymmetric effects of external debt, domestic debt and debt service on public investment were statistically significant. The paper recommended that the Debt Management Office (DMO) which is vested with the management of the country’s debt should advice the federal government to minimize or discourage borrowing to fund her budget by encouraging revenue generation from the non-oil sector. Furthermore, funds should be sourced from domestic sources rather than external sources for development purposes. The borrowed funds should be channeled into investment in infrastructural projects that will improve public investment.

Abstract: The global economic system was negatively impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic. It led to additional concerns and challenges. It made many nations' weaknesses and vulnerabilities clear. It also caused issues and disturbances in the country's economic systems. Numerous factors affected the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area. The governments failed to effectively manage their programs and priorities, and oil and gas production fell. Their foreign trade was hampered and they experienced negative growth. The industries of logistics, tourism, and transportation all suffered. The aim of the current study was to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on the GCC economies and also discusses and analyzes the future ways that the GCC can mitigate the impact of future crisis. Methodology: The current article was searched using a variety of key words such as “Coronavirus and/or economy”, “COVID-19 and/or economy”, “COVID-19 and/or industries”, “COVID-19 and/or industries”, “Coronavirus and/or tourism”, “COVID-19 and/or tourism”, “COVID-19 and/or transportation”, “COVID-19 and/or GCC”, “COVID-19 and/or economic systems”. Those articles were derivative from the data related to COVID-19 were conducted utilizing seven electronic databases (CINAHL, MEDLINE, ProQuest, PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, and Cochrane) for studies published in various languages from June 2023 to October 2023. The findings suggest that COVID-19 has effects on economy, tourism, transportation and industries. The study highlights the negative impact of COVID-19 on the economic systems.
